Privacy Policy
How Photoshoot uses and protects the photos and information you provide.
Last updated: 2026-08-20
1. About this policy
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Photoshoot.
Portrait photos can reveal your identity, appearance, age, and other sensitive details. Upload only your own photos or photos you have clear permission to use.
2. Information we process
When you create a portrait, we may process:
- one to three photos you choose;
- saved AI identity profiles containing one to three reusable reference photos;
- style reference images, professional portrait options, and natural-language editing instructions;
- basic photo details such as dimensions, brightness, sharpness, and whether a clear single face is visible;
- your chosen portrait style, finish, selected preview, and requested adjustment;
- the previews, final portraits and edited images created for you;
- account, purchase, credit and generation-history records; and
- limited request and error information needed to keep the service reliable and prevent abuse.
Photoshoot is not an identity-verification service. We do not ask for a government ID or use your photos to verify an account.
3. What happens to your photos
Your device first checks and resizes your photos and automatically adjusts exposure, contrast, colour and visible facial blemishes. These steps are intended to preserve facial geometry while preparing a cleaner identity reference.
When you choose to create or edit an image, the selected identity photos, style reference image, editing instructions and generated draft may be sent through the Qiuming image gateway to the GPT Image 2 model. These services process the inputs to create portraits or edit an image.
If you choose the example photo, no photo of yours is used. The example person is fictional and the example results are prepared in advance.
4. How we use information
We use information only as needed to:
- check whether a photo is suitable and suggest a clearer replacement when needed;
- create, edit and deliver your images;
- save AI identities and generation history so you can reuse, refine, download or delete them;
- process purchases, reserve credits before generation and restore credits after eligible failures;
- protect the service from misuse; and
- diagnose failures and understand basic product usage.
Analytics events may record actions such as starting a portrait or downloading a result. They do not include your photo or facial measurements.
5. Storage and retention
Saved AI identities and generation history remain associated with your account until you delete them or the service applies a disclosed retention limit. Generated files may be stored with our configured storage provider so that history and downloads continue to work. Deleted records may remain briefly in backups or security logs where required for reliability, fraud prevention or law.
Qiuming and the underlying image model may process or retain request data according to their own policies. Do not upload confidential or highly sensitive photos unless you are comfortable with those terms.
Generated images are not added to a public gallery unless a separate sharing feature clearly asks for your action.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your portrait photos. Information may be shared only with service providers needed to create and operate the portrait service, professional advisers under confidentiality, or authorities when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
7. Cookies and analytics
The site may remember your language and theme preferences. Essential sign-in and payment cookies may be used for account and purchase functions. Privacy-focused analytics may help us understand which parts of the portrait experience are used, without receiving the contents of your photos.
8. Your choices and rights
You can explore the product with the fictional example instead of uploading a photo. You can delete saved AI identities and generation-history entries from your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, transfer, or object to the use of your personal information. Use the contact method provided on the service to make a request.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no online image service can remove every risk. Before uploading, consider removing location metadata and checking that the background does not reveal private documents, addresses, or other confidential information.
10. Children and other people's photos
Do not upload a child's portrait or another person's portrait without the consent required by local law. Do not use the service for covert surveillance, impersonation, harassment, identity verification, or non-consensual sexualized imagery.
11. International processing
The companies that help create portraits may process information in countries other than your own. Their privacy policies describe the safeguards and locations that apply to their services.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or legal requirements change. The date above shows the latest version.
